Algae-Link developing technology to extract oil from algae paste
Algae-Link claims it has developed a new way to extract oil from wet algae paste. The algae paste is collected from a reactor through filtering or centrifugation and directly, without drying, is processed in AlgaeLink's oil extraction system. Total power consumption used in a 45m3 per hour oil extraction process is 26 kilowatts, which turns 50% of the algae paste into oil. (Mar 2008) - Read More
