Shell, Anglo American delay clean-coal plan
Shell and Anglo American will shelve development of an Australian-based clean-coal-to-liquids project worth $5 billion. The high price of capital and increased construction costs were the main reasons behind the mining and energy giants' move. The technology used for the Monash project also allowed a concentrated stream of CO2 to be separated from the fuel transported to injection wells in deep underground geological formations for secure storage. - Read More
