India's use of molasses for ethanol
In a normal year, about 50% of total Indian molasses consumption is accounted for by the producers of alcohol for potable purposes. With the remainder used in the production of industrial ethanol and feed, large scale production of fuel ethanol is largely dependent on feedstock supply.
